The space
Over 100 years old, our beautifully restored homestead was originally the Headmasters House for St Helens District School. Now a glorious guest house, we invite you to come and unwind amongst our curated collection of antiques, curios and artworks.
With five bedrooms - three with private ensuite bathrooms - our home is well suited to large groups wishing to reconnect and make lifelong memories. Imagine spending your days around the pool and your evenings by the toasty wood heater. Pick yourself up a Tasmanian pinot & cheese board from one of the local providores and enjoy sharing fabulous food andconversationbinto the wee hours.
Our home has everything you need for a memorable stay including all linen, an initial supply of soaps and coffee etc as well as a well equipped kitchen if you choose to stay in for the evening.
With a claw foot bath to complete the luxury of our home, we look forward to you staying with us soon at The Old Headmasters House in St Helens.
Please note that the pool is not heated so please be mindful of this when booking as it can be chilly if the weather is not warm.

High on Coffey features three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms, with the master including a walk in robe and ensuite. The airy living room captures ocean views and invites relaxation. You will be toasty warm in the winter with a large wood heater, while the fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up a feast! 

With a large fully enclosed yard you can enjoy sitting around the outdoor fire pot where we are sure you'll spend many hours with a glass of wine & good friends. Pets are welcome to stay at High On Coffey and if your fur family are travelling with you, please bring their bowl and bed with you so they can be comfortable too. We do kindly ask that you clean up after your pets.

Akaroa Arthouse is an experience! This beautiful home accommodates up to 6 guests in style with 3 comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 dining areas there is plenty of space for everyone. The main bedroom has a queen bed, an ensuite bathroom which includes the washing machine and is also accessible from the living area. Bedroom 2 has two king single beds and bedroom 3 features a king bed. A fully equipped kitchen which features stunning black marble benchtops paired with a sleek glass splashback, a stylish space that’s as practical as it is beautiful. 

The kitchen and living areas are open plan and the home is heated by reverse cycle air conditioner to keep you warm in the cooler months and comfortable in summer. 

The large under cover deck at the rear of the home is accessed via french doors that bring the outside in. With parking on the property, there's plenty to love. 

The bathroom with a walk in shower, toilet and a stunning clawfoot bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of exploring. And with a washing machine in the home everything is there for a long or short term stay.

The term Halcyon Days has had numerous meanings since originating in ancient Greece.
We'd love you to come and stay with us to create your own Halcyon Days story.

Halcyon Days can be found in St Helens on Tasmania's North East Coast.

The cosy dwelling has a large deck at the rear with views down to the bay filtered by beautiful big gum trees. A very relaxing spot to take in the surrounding serenity.
The house has two bedrooms accommodating four guests and an open plan dining, lounge and kitchen area.
Off street parking is available and Halcyon Days has a large fenced yard that can accomodate well behaved dogs that don't want to miss out on the family holiday.
Linen and towels for each guest are provided as well as those other little essentials to make your stay comfortable. 

The house is a short walk down to Georges Bay, close to one of the many popular fishing jetties and you’ll find some of the best fish and chips and coffee pop up vans on the coast. You can then take the path for a lovely stroll around the bay to the shops of St Helens while taking in the beautiful views. 

Halcyon days is perfectly situated to base yourself to explore our stunning area, from Binalong Bay and the Bay of Fires, maybe head up into the hinterland to Pyengana, the Blue Tier and Derby or even down south to Freycinet and Coles Bay.

This is a true bush setting with abundant wildlife, and the yard is not fully fenced. For everyone’s safety including your pets and our local animals please make sure that pets are fully supervised when outdoors.
